KUKA robot programming
for your production.

I program KUKA robots, drawing on my experience at KUKA as an application engineer and engineering lead. Today I support system integrators, automation colleagues and manufacturers directly. Concepts, offline programming, commissioning and service across Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Who I work with

An extension of your team — where you need support.

Short of programming capacity, facing a project backlog or missing a specialist for your robot cell? I join your project, document my work and hand over a system your team can maintain.

01 · Subcontracting

System integrators & machine builders

I take care of robot programming in your project, from concept through acceptance support. You retain responsibility for the system; I deliver documented KRL code following your standards.

02 · Extra capacity

Automation colleagues

Peak workload, holidays or parallel projects? I provide additional programming capacity, working discreetly in the background and respecting your customer relationships.

03 · Manufacturers

Direct support for manufacturers

Have a KUKA cell but no specialist to reprogram it, optimise it or troubleshoot faults? I support programming, optimisation and training for your team.

Services

From the initial idea to production.

Seven services, available individually or as a complete package. KUKA-focused, documented and handed over so your team can keep working.

01 KRL · Robot cell

Programming new robot cells

Complete path and sequence programming for new cells in KRL, with structured code, comments, calibrated base and tool frames, and repeatable processes.

  • › KRL following your programming standard
  • › Base and tool calibration, payload determination
  • › Signal and PLC interface (PROFINET)
02 On site · Cycle time

Commissioning & optimisation

On-site commissioning through production readiness. Cycle time optimisation, smoother paths and reduced overshoot for stable, efficient operation.

  • › Cycle time and path optimisation
  • › Start-up with operators and maintenance staff
  • › Acceptance support and handover documentation
03 KUKA.Sim · Offline

Offline programming & simulation

Program in KUKA.Sim while the system is still producing. Check reachability, collisions and cycle times virtually to reduce downtime during commissioning.

  • › Reachability and collision checks
  • › Early cycle time estimates
  • › Reduced on-site downtime
04 Service · Troubleshooting

Diagnostics & troubleshooting

When a cell stops, every minute matters. Systematic diagnostics of the robot, gripper, sensors and PLC interface, on site or remotely, to restore production.

  • › Robot · Gripper · I/O · Bus diagnostics
  • › Responsive support, including remote access
  • › Root cause analysis
05 Operators · Maintenance

Operator & maintenance training

Help your team handle everyday tasks independently with practical training at the cell: operation, teaching points, acknowledging faults and making small adjustments.

  • › Operation, teaching and troubleshooting
  • › Practical training on the actual system
  • › Concise, useful reference documentation
06Remote · VPN

Remote maintenance & support

Secure remote access to the controller for many adjustments and diagnostic tasks without travel. Practical support for smaller changes, wherever possible.

  • › VPN-secured controller access
  • › Adjustments without travel
  • › Clearly agreed access arrangements
07 Concept · Specification

Specifications, engineering & concepts

Turn your task into a sound concept: cell layout, reachability, gripper and process selection, and interfaces, before the first point is taught.

  • › Layout and reachability study
  • › Gripper, process and interface selection
  • › An agreed functional specification
Technology expertise

KUKA technology packages, used in real projects.

I have used and commissioned these KUKA technology options in real projects. They are tools I know from practical experience.

KUKA.SafeOperation

Software-based safety monitoring of axis-specific and Cartesian spaces, with up to 16 monitoring spaces, without mechanical limit switches.

KUKA.GripperTech

Gripper configuration and control directly in the robot controller, with GripperSpotTech available for welding guns.

KUKA.ArcTech

Arc welding (MIG/MAG, TIG) with welding parameter management and weaving; fieldbus connection to power sources, with modular options starting from ArcTech Basic.

KUKA.Sim

Offline programming and simulation to assess reachability, collisions and cycle times virtually.

KUKA.VisionTech

Integrated 2D vision for position detection, code and character reading (OCR), and quality inspection.

KUKA.ConveyorTech

Conveyor tracking for synchronised picking from moving belts, supporting up to five conveyors.

KUKA.LoadDataDetermination

Automatic determination of flange payload data: mass, centre of gravity and moments of inertia.

KUKA.RoboTeam

Cooperative programming of up to four robots with synchronised, coupled movements.

Applications

Applications I have worked on.

From welding to path-based processes, covering typical tasks of a KUKA cell.

Welding
Arc & spot: seam tracking, weaving and spot welding.
Handling / Pick & Place
Pick, transfer and place parts quickly and precisely.
Palletising
Layer patterns, interlayers and accurately built stacks.
Machine tending
Load and unload CNC machines, presses and other equipment in time with production.
Gluing / dispensing
Consistent beads for adhesive, sealant and dispensing paths.
Assembly
Repeatable joining, screwdriving and press-fitting.
Path applications
Milling, deburring and grinding with precise path control.
Process

How we deliver your project.

Clear stages with a defined outcome at each handover. You always know where your project stands.

01

Concept

Understand the task, assess reachability and layout, and agree on the functional specification.

02

Offline programming

Program in KUKA.Sim and assess paths, cycle time and collisions virtually.

03

Commissioning

Start up on site, refine paths and integrate the PLC interface for stable operation.

04

Training & handover

Train operators and maintenance staff; hand over concise documentation and commented code.

05

Service

Optional remote maintenance and support for faults or subsequent changes.

Note: I provide programming and engineering services. Responsibility for the system, CE conformity and safety acceptance under the Machinery Directive remains with the integrator or operator. Electrical, mechanical and safeguarding work is performed by the respective specialist contractors.

Background
“I have not only programmed robot cells. As an engineering lead at KUKA I was responsible for planning and commissioning them, and training customers.”

From 2017 to 2021 I worked at KUKA CEE GmbH, progressing from application engineer to engineering team lead. Before that, I worked on PLC programming (Siemens TIA / Step 7) and commissioning highly automated logistics systems across Europe at TGW. This combination of robotics, control systems and on-site experience informs my work today.
